Hong Kong became a Special Administrative Region of The People's Republic of China (HKSAR) on July 1, 1997 (formerly under the rule of British Government).
Its success stems from: free market philosophy, entrepreneurial drive, absence of trade barriers, well established rule of law, and complete freedom of capital movement.
